Hi there! My name is Patrick, I'm 17 and use drynites and still wet. Just worndring if my drynites will help me not to wet at night ?

Hi Patrick, it is best to think of DryNites as a form of management. Unlike treatments that are specifically designed to help you to become dry at night, DryNites are designed to help reduce the negative effects of bedwetting, such as the need to deal with constant wet sheets. While there is some debate surrounding the use of absorbent pants – there really is little evidence to show that these either prolong or speed up the process. By far the most effective means of treating bedwetting is the conditioning alarm. The alarm is designed to wake you up when you begin to wet. The conditioning approach is based on the theory that by repetitively waking a person at the time of urination the body will become conditioned into recognising that urination is about to occur. A helpful point of contact is the Continence Association of Australia (1800 330 066) who has a free helpline and will be able to provide advice of specific products. All the best! Regards, Dr Cathrine
