Boys and Girls

Hi Josh, given their ages I would recommend that you purchase DryNites rather than nappies; DryNites can be purchased in most (if not all) supermarkets. It would be worthwhile having a conversation with the children first to reassure them that you goal is simply to help them to manage their wetting and to ensure they get a good night sleep. Children can be very embarrassed about their bedwetting and may want to avoid the topic completely, particularly if they have been made to feel responsible or ashamed of their behaviour in the past. Reassure them that you completely understand that this is in no way their fault. Children who enter the foster system have typically experience some form of trauma so the more supportive you can be the better they will feel about the situation. All the best, Dr Cathrine
