Dr Cathrine Answered:

Given his age and the regularity of his wetting it is very important that you make an appointment with your GP so that they can investigate the cause of his incontinence. DryNites are certainly fine to be worn both day and night and would be a great way to help your son manage his daytime incontinence. Any form of daytime wetting certainly puts children at risk of being teased by their peers so our ultimate goal is to ensure he feels confident and secure without being concerned that he will somehow be ‘found out’ by his friends. Encourage him to change his DryNites regularly, that way he avoids developing any sort of noticeable odour as well as reducing the chance of leakage.
