Hi my son is nearlly 6 years old and he still wets the bed. I have tried a few times putting him to bed without a pull up. but he will sleep all night in a wet bed and he will not wake up.

Boys bedwetting (4-10 y) · Asked by TIFFANY about 1 year ago

Dr Cathrine Answered:

Hi Tiffany, while bedwetting can be incredibly distressing for parents please be reassured that it is perfectly normal for your son to still wet the bed at night. It is not unusual for children to continue to sleep through even after they have wet the bed. A very deep sleep pattern has been linked to children’s bedwetting as this makes it difficult for children to respond to signals sent from their bladder to their brain that their bladder is full and needs to be emptied. Wearing absorbent pants like DryNites can be a great way to manage his bedwetting as they reduce the stress associated with waking up wet and ensures both you and your son get a good night sleep.

Regards,
Dr Cathrine

My 5year old son is exactly the same as Tiffanys son. Glad to hear we are not the only ones and that this is fairly 'normal'
