Hi K.J., this is perfectly normal behaviour, in fact some medical professionals argue that bedwetting, particularly among boys, is developmentally appropriate up to age 8! Most children stop wetting at night as their body matures and becomes better able at storing urine or they learn to wake-up in response to a full-bladder. Until then it is fine to keep using absorbent pants, I would look into using DryNites rather than nappies as these are better suited to older children and are less likely to make your son feel that he is somehow still a baby.
Regards,
Dr Cathrine
